The Bassano Experience
Hosted in the hills above Bassano del Grappa at La Rosina, the Bassano Experience blends riding, craftsmanship, food and culture into a single calibrated weekend.
This is not an exclusive club. It is an open invitation. If you are investing in a hand-built monocoque frame, you deserve to ride it where it belongs.

European Delivery Program
Carmakers have offered European delivery for decades. Rather than wait for the thing to arrive in a crate, you travel to where it was made, meet the people who built it, and take it home yourself. We do the same with bicycles.
Every SWI customer who chooses to collect in Italy is invited to the Bassano Experience. There is no additional charge. It is part of the build.
01
Specify
Size and fit, groupset, finish, and the carbon layup written to your weight and power.
02
Build
Your frame is laid up by hand and cured in a single mould. One craftsman, start to finish.
03
Collect
Tell us you would rather collect than have it shipped. We hold the bike for the next Experience date.
04
Ride it home
Four days in the Veneto, then the bike travels back with you. Shipping and insured transport remain available if plans change.
Two signature rides
One day flowing through the Veneto. One day up the mountain that defines it. Both routes are published on Strava, so you can load them before you arrive.

Ride one
La Rosina to Asolo and back
Rolling roads through vineyards and walled hill towns. Enough gradient to feel the frame work, gentle enough to spend the day talking. This is the ride that shows you what the bike does underneath you.

Ride two
The mountain above Bassano
Twelve different roads climb to the summit. We take one of them. It is long, it is exposed near the top, and it is the reason a 720 gram frame with a layup written for your weight stops being a specification and starts being a feeling.

Monte Grappa. Twelve roads reach the summit; the Experience takes one of them.
The base
You stay at La Rosina, a Michelin-starred hotel and restaurant in the hills above Bassano del Grappa, twenty minutes from the walled chessboard square of Marostica and inside the first ramps of the Grappa massif.
Rooms open onto the valley. The kitchen holds a star. The roads start at the door, which is the only reason we chose it.

What is included
01
Your frame, built to your layup, handed over by the people who made it. Final fit is set on the spot rather than guessed at from a spreadsheet.
02
The Veneto Flow and Monte Grappa, ridden with us. Routes, support and the local knowledge that turns a good road into the right road.
03
Dinners at La Rosina, the towns of Marostica, Asolo and Bassano del Grappa, and the part of Italian cycling that happens at the table.
04
Inside the workshop: the mould, the layup table, the autoclave. You see how a monocoque shell is formed, including the one you are about to ride.
The shape of it
Two Experience dates run each year, one in spring and one in autumn, when the Veneto is at its best for riding.
Friday
Check in at La Rosina. Your SWI is handed over and set up, fit confirmed, dinner together.
Saturday
76 kilometres to Asolo and back through vineyards and hill towns. The first proper day on your own frame.
Sunday
The mountain. 1,849 metres of climbing to a summit that has decided more than one race.
Monday
Inside the workshop where the frame was formed, and onward travel from there.
Getting there
Venice Marco Polo is the nearest major airport, with Treviso and Verona both straightforward alternatives. You are hosted in the hills above Bassano del Grappa, where the riding is; the workshop itself sits a short drive south at Villafranca Padovana. Transfers between the airport, La Rosina and the factory are arranged for you.
If collecting in person does not suit your calendar, nothing is lost. Your SWI is packed and shipped insured, and the invitation stands for a future date.
