SWI engineers the carbon layup specifically for each rider. Fibre orientation, ply count and resin distribution are optimised across the frame according to your weight, power output and the ride feel you want. This is not geometry customisation. It is the structure of the frame itself that changes.
Eight to twelve weeks from the date of order. That covers the engineering phase where your optimal carbon layup is calculated, then hand-laying the carbon in Villafranca Padovana, curing, finishing and quality inspection. Rush orders are sometimes possible — ask us directly.
Your body measurements (height, inseam, arm length, torso length), your riding metrics (weight, FTP or power output), your riding style, and the ride feel you are after — compliant, balanced or stiff. We also run a fitting consultation to understand your position preferences and any flexibility limitations.
Size, stem, handlebar and seatpost changes can be made within 48 hours of placing the order. Once the carbon layup engineering begins, changes are not possible — each frame is calculated for your original specification. Take your time during the consultation, because that is where the details are settled.
They are the same frame from the same mould, with the same geometry. The Leve replaces the 3K Herringbone outer weave with a TPT™ unidirectional lamination, saving roughly 90 grams. The Aequus runs 720–790g, the Leve 640–710g. Both cost the same.
Weights vary with your custom layup and your size. The Aequus frameset ranges from 720 to 790g; the Aequus Leve from 640 to 710g. Lighter riders with lower power output receive lighter layups. Heavier or more powerful riders receive reinforced structures.
Up to 32mm tyres on 700c, optimised around 28mm, which we think is the best balance of aerodynamics, comfort and rolling resistance. Flat-mount disc brakes and through-axle spacing throughout: 12x100mm front, 12x142mm rear.
Both. SWI frames take Shimano Di2, SRAM eTap and Campagnolo EPS as well as mechanical groupsets, with internal routing optimised for either. Wireless systems such as SRAM AXS can be integrated with concealed battery placement.

Framesets start at €6,990, in either lamination. Complete bicycles start from €13,390 depending on the components you choose. Every price includes the custom carbon layup engineering and the 50-year warranty. The configurator shows live pricing as you build a specification.
Both. The configurator covers component packages from Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo, wheelsets, cockpit and finishing. We can also build around components you already own or have chosen elsewhere.
Wire transfer, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and PayPal. A 50% deposit starts production, with the balance due before shipping. Financing is available through our partners for qualified buyers.
Manufacturing defects on SWI frames, forks, seatposts, handlebars and stems, including the cost of transport and rebuild. If a defect or breakage occurs because of a manufacturing error, the damaged part is repaired or replaced with a new equivalent at our expense. Full terms are on the warranty page.
Yes, within 90 days of purchase. The fifty-year guarantee applies to frames registered with us, and registering is what ties your serial number to its build record so we can identify your frame years later. It is free, takes about two minutes, and your dealer can complete it at handover. Register at swi-cycling.com/register. Your rights under consumer law are separate and never depend on it.
The fifty-year guarantee covers the person who bought the frameset new and is not transferable, so it ends when a frame changes hands. It is still worth telling us you have it. We can tell you how it was built, reach you if anything about the frame ever needs attention, and trace it if it is ever stolen. The 25% crash-replacement rate is open to you either way. Write to info@swi-cycling.com. We will assess it and, if needed, arrange an inspection. Most issues can be resolved through the dealer network. For warranty claims we provide shipping labels and expedite a replacement so you are off the bike for as little time as possible.
Yes. If you damage a SWI frame, fork, seatpost or integrated bar and stem in a crash, we will attempt a repair at a fair cost. Where a repair is not possible, we offer 25% off the cost of a replacement.
Yes. We offer refinishing, custom paint updates and structural inspections. Frames can come back to the workshop for a full restoration including new clear coat and decals. Turnaround is typically three to four weeks.
Worldwide, from the workshop in Italy. Costs and times vary by destination: typically three to five business days within the EU, five to seven to the United States and Asia. Every frame is fully insured and requires a signature.
Each frame is wrapped in protective film, secured in custom foam inserts and packed in a reinforced carton. Complete bicycles are assembled, tuned and packed in premium bike boxes with wheel bags and padding. All shipments are insured.
Yes, and we would rather you did. You can collect from the workshop in Villafranca Padovana or from an authorised dealer. We schedule an appointment and hand the bicycle over properly, with the frame specification, care instructions and a tour of the workshop.
