The prize

One rider walks away with all four.

01

A custom SWI

A handmade frameset, laid up for one rider and painted by hand in Italy. Framesets start at €6,990.

02

A professional fit

A full session with Stephen at Bike Tailor. Your numbers, taken properly, before a single ply is cut.

03

Lightweight wheels

Handmade carbon wheels from Friedrichshafen, Germany — the benchmark since 1989.

04

A build conversation

A call with the SWI team to spec the bike — size and fit, finish, groupset, the lot.

A bike is only as good as the fit beneath it.

Before anything is built, Stephen at Bike Tailor takes your position properly — not a quick check on a turbo, but a full session that produces numbers a frame can be built from. That is the part most custom bikes skip, and the reason a SWI is worth having: the size, the cockpit and the carbon schedule all come from those numbers.

Cured in a Leberkäse oven.

Heinz Obermayer built his first carbon wheel in a garage in Friedrichshafen, using a meatloaf oven to cure it. Lightweight has been the benchmark in carbon wheels ever since.

Every set is still built by hand in Germany, spoke by spoke. The winner gets a pair on their build.

The frame · SWI

A single shell. Built around you.

Every SWI is a true monocoque — one carbon shell with no joints, no glued tubes and no weak points. The frame is the structure rather than an assembly of parts.

Every layer is placed by hand at Villafranca Padovana and signed by the craftsman who built it. Your fit numbers decide the size, the stem and the seatpost offset — and the carbon schedule inside the frame.
